WebWordSystem is a very user friendly web-based translation tool with an integrated termbase and translation memory. In the termbase, the company's own specific terminology and phrases are registered. The base is updated as the need for new terms arises.
When an employee of the company needs to know which translation the company uses for a particular term or phrase, the employee can find it via the Internet irrespective of the employee's global location. In the translation memory, the system automatically stores all of the company's translations. Every time a new text is translated, the translation memory will grow, and the translator will be able to benefit next time a similar text is to be translated.
Every time a translator, in a translation process, comes across a sentence, which is identical or almost identical to a previously translated sentence (a segment), the system will automatically show this translation after which any editing may be made. Often you will be able to save up to 75 per cent of your time when using matches from the system instead of retranslating the text. In each of the two databases, there is a company-specific area – Private Area, where to only the company's users have access, and a common area for all users – Public Area, where all the terms, fixed phrases and segments, which the company wants to share with other users, can be published. Hereby, the companies may take part in the build-up of a unique global knowledge database.
Likewise, the two databases have been divided into language combinations and subjects ensuring that the system only makes suggestions for subject-related translations. It is the company that decides which subject to use. In Public Area, users pay for any terms and segments retrieved from other users, and the companies that have published these terms and segments to Public Area will receive earnings, when other people make use of their terms and segments. Prices appear from our price list. WebWordSystem has an automatic settlement module that gradually calculates the company's purchase and sale of terms and segments. When joining, a payment is made on account. The group administrator can at any time log on to the system and see the balance on the company's account for use. Likewise, the group administrator can monitor the use of any user at any time. When the balance falls to a level lower than the fixed one, a new payment on account is paid. WebWordSystem has been developed with due consideration of user friendliness. All companies working with languages may benefit from WebWordSystem as the many advantages vastly exceed the expenses of using the system. A flexible price policy ensures that companies may obtain a solution tailored to their specific needs. |
